The County of San Diego Sheriff's Office is soliciting quotes for the supply of Aker brand duty gear and accessories required to outfit deputy sheriff and detention officer personnel. Items include but are not limited to leather and polymer holsters, Sam Browne belts, basket weave gear, keepers, handcuff cases, magazine pouches, and other Aker product lines specified by the Sheriff's Office. The vendor must be an authorized Aker distributor and able to fulfill orders within the Sheriff's required lead times. This contract replaces expiring Contract #570526.
• Aker Leather Products authorized distributor certificate (current) • Ability to supply full Aker product catalog relevant to Sheriff's specifications • Minimum order fulfillment: 100 units per line item within 30 calendar days • Rush order capability (50 units in 10 business days) • Items must meet California POST duty gear guidelines where applicable • Product Liability Insurance: $1,000,000 per occurrence • Defective product replacement within 15 business days of notification • Volume pricing schedule required at time of bid submission • Authorized returns and exchange program for sizing or defect issues
Eligible vendors must be authorized distributors of Aker Leather Products. Proof of authorized distributor status from Aker must be provided at the time of bid. Vendors must have a minimum of two years of experience supplying duty gear to law enforcement agencies and must be able to fulfill orders of 100+ units per line item.
