The County of San Diego County Fire Department is soliciting proposals for as-needed promotional items to support fire prevention education, community risk reduction, and public information programs. Items may include branded apparel, hats, reusable bags, water bottles, pens, flashlights, smoke detector batteries, child safety items, and other giveaways as specified per task order. The contractor must reproduce County Fire logos and approved artwork accurately and maintain product quality consistent with County standards. This contract replaces expiring Contract #572321. Small and local businesses are encouraged to apply.
• PPAI or ASI membership (or equivalent industry credential) • Accurate reproduction of County Fire approved logos and vector artwork • Pantone color-matching capability for branded items • Ability to fulfill individual task orders as small as 50 units • Lead time: 15 business days for standard orders; rush available (5–7 business days) • Pre-production proof (physical or digital) required for approval before production • Product Liability Insurance: $1,000,000 per occurrence • General Liability Insurance: $1,000,000 per occurrence • Unit pricing and quantity break schedule submitted at time of bid • Eco-friendly or recycled-material options offered where available
Eligible vendors include promotional products distributors and manufacturers. The vendor must be a member of the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) or Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI), or demonstrate equivalent industry standing. Vendors must be able to fulfill orders in accordance with County artwork and brand guidelines.
