The County of San Diego Planning and Development Services is soliciting proposals for as-needed temporary fencing services on a task-order basis. Services include delivery, installation, reconfiguration, and removal of temporary chain link, panel, and pedestrian crowd-control fencing at County construction sites, special events, and other locations as directed. The contractor must be available to mobilize within 48 hours of task-order issuance and provide 24-hour emergency response for fencing security failures. This contract replaces expiring Contract #571962. Small and local businesses are strongly encouraged to apply.
• California C-13 Fencing Contractor's License or equivalent • Minimum inventory: 500 linear feet of chain link and 200 linear feet of panel fencing available at time of contract award • 48-hour mobilization for standard orders; 24-hour emergency response • OSHA-compliant installation methods and safety barriers • ADA-compliant pedestrian access maintained at all fenced sites • General Liability Insurance: $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate • Auto Liability Insurance: $1,000,000 per occurrence • Workers' Compensation Insurance • Task-order pricing: per linear foot installed/removed • Site restoration upon removal (no residual damage to ground surface)
Eligible applicants include fencing contractors or equipment rental companies with demonstrated experience in temporary fencing installation for construction or public events. The firm must hold a valid California Contractor's License with a C-13 (Fencing) classification or equivalent and maintain sufficient fencing inventory to fulfill concurrent task orders.
