The contractor must maintain full accounting records and provide detailed post-sale reports. This procurement replaces expiring Contracts #564723 and #564839.
• California Auctioneer Bond ($10,000 minimum) or equivalent surety • Fictitious Business Name registration (if applicable) • Demonstrated experience with estate and government-administered property auctions • Online auction platform capability with public bidder registration • Full accounting and audit trail for all sale proceeds • General Liability Insurance: $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate • Fidelity/Crime Bond: $100,000 minimum • Net proceeds remittance to County within 30 days of sale close • Itemized post-sale report submitted within 15 business days • References from at least three government or court-supervised auction engagements
Applicants must be a licensed auction business operating in California. If conducting real estate sales, a valid California real estate broker's license is required. The firm must have a minimum of five years of experience conducting estate auctions or liquidation sales, including experience working with government or court-administered estates. Bonding is required.
