The County of San Diego District Attorney's Office is soliciting proposals for as-needed structured cabling services and cabling system design on a task-order basis. Services include design, installation, testing, labeling, and documentation of Category 6A and fiber optic cabling systems; patch panel and rack installation; cable certification testing; and as-needed moves, adds, and changes (MACs) at District Attorney facilities. Contractors must maintain security clearances appropriate for work in a law enforcement environment. This contract replaces expiring Contract #563874.
• California C-7 (Low Voltage) or C-10 (Electrical) Contractor's License • BICSI Registered Communicatons Distribution Designer (RCDD) or Installer I/II certification preferred • TIA-568 and TIA-942 standards compliance • Category 6A or higher copper cabling and OS2/OM4 fiber installation capability • Fluke or equivalent cable certification tester with current calibration • All cabling documentation delivered in as-built format (CAD or Visio) • Staff background check compliance for law enforcement facility access • General Liability Insurance: $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate • 10-year cabling system warranty (manufacturer-backed) on completed installations • Response to task orders within 3 business days
Eligible applicants must hold a valid California Contractor's License with a C-7 (Low Voltage) or C-10 (Electrical) classification. The firm must have a minimum of three years of experience designing and installing structured cabling systems in government, law enforcement, or high-security commercial environments. All staff must be able to pass a criminal background check.
