The County of San Diego Department of General Services invites qualified contractors to submit proposals for as-needed fire protection system services. This contract covers inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm panels, suppression systems, and related fire protection equipment at various County-owned and leased facilities. Work is issued on a task-order basis with no guaranteed minimum volume. Contractors must be available to respond to emergency service calls within four hours. This procurement replaces expiring Contract #569543. Prevailing wage requirements apply to all work performed under this contract.
• California C-16 Contractor's License (active and in good standing) • NICET Level II certification for at least one assigned technician • California State Fire Marshal (CSFM) acceptance for any installed equipment • General Liability Insurance: $2,000,000 per occurrence / $4,000,000 aggregate • Automobile Liability Insurance: $1,000,000 per occurrence • Workers' Compensation Insurance per California statutory requirements • Prevailing wage compliance (DIR registration required) • 4-hour emergency response availability • References from at least three public agency contracts within the past five years
Applicants must hold a valid California Contractor's License with a C-16 (Fire Protection) classification in good standing. At least one field technician must hold NICET Level II or higher certification in fire alarm or fire sprinkler systems. The business entity must be registered to do business in California and must have a minimum of three years of documented experience providing fire protection services to public agencies or large commercial facilities.
