Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes what you may and may not do when using the Pathways2Bids platform, its APIs, tools, and related services. It applies to all users, including individual account holders, organizations, and any third parties acting on their behalf.

This AUP supplements our Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict, the Terms of Service will control.

2. Permitted Uses

You may use Pathways2Bids to:

  • Browse, search, save, and track government contract and grant opportunities.
  • Manage your business profile, application history, and saved listings.
  • Access platform resources, guides, and support documentation.
  • Contact us or submit feedback through provided forms or channels.
  • Use the platform for your own internal business purposes in compliance with all applicable laws.

3. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Pathways2Bids to engage in any of the following:

Unauthorised Access & Scraping

  • Access, scrape, crawl, index, or harvest platform content, data, or user information using bots, spiders, scrapers, or automated tools without our express written permission.
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform or any associated system.
  • Circumvent, bypass, or interfere with any authentication, access control, rate limiting, or security feature.
  • Access any account, system, or data that you are not explicitly authorized to access.

Spam & Abuse

  • Send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or commercial communications through any platform feature.
  • Repeatedly submit forms, reports, or requests in a manner that places unreasonable load on the platform.
  • Use the platform to distribute malware, ransomware, phishing links, or other malicious content.
  • Engage in denial-of-service attacks or any activity that degrades platform performance for other users.

Impersonation & Misrepresentation

  • Impersonate any person, business, government entity, or BELL staff member.
  • Create accounts using false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
  • Represent your relationship with the platform in a way that is false or misleading.
  • Claim affiliation with BELL, Pathways2Bids, or partner organizations without authorization.

Illegal & Harmful Activity

  • Use the platform in violation of any applicable local, state, federal, or international law or regulation.
  • Upload, transmit, or distribute content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, or that violates another person's rights.
  • Facilitate or assist others in engaging in any activity prohibited by this AUP.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of BELL or any third party.

4. User Content

You are solely responsible for any content, information, or materials you submit to or through the platform. You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit such content and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.

BELL reserves the right to remove content that violates this AUP or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the platform or its users.

5. Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in any of the following actions at our discretion:

  • A warning or written notice of the violation.
  • Temporary suspension of your account and access to the platform.
  • Permanent termination of your account without refund (where applicable).
  • Reporting the activity to law enforcement or relevant regulatory authorities where required or appropriate.
  • Legal action to recover damages or enforce our rights.

We will try to notify you before taking action where practicable, but reserve the right to act immediately when necessary to protect users, the platform, or third parties.

6. Reporting Violations

If you believe someone is using Pathways2Bids in violation of this AUP, please report it to us. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in our platform, applicable law, or industry standards. We will update the "Last Updated" date above and, for material changes, notify users via email or an in-platform notice.
